Sefton Park Medical Centre

The surgery website is a most effective way of giving our patients access to help and the latest information 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It contains complete information about all the services we offer. It also details how the practice is organised and introduces our doctors, other medical and administrative staff and describes their various responsibilities.

Normal Consulting Times (By Appointment)

Each doctor holds a morning surgery and afternoon/evening surgery. Each doctor has one training and administration day per week when they do not see patients. This is not the same day each week and varies from Monday to Friday.

Accessing Your GP

You can phone or call into reception from 8am every day (Monday to Friday) to make an appointment.Morning appointments are book on the day and afternoons are pre-bookable up to a week in advance.

We are now able to offer an online service to enable you to book appointments, order repeat medication and view your medical records.  You will need to call into the practice to request access to the online service and you will be given a sheet with your unique registration details.

One you have registered with the service you can go online to order your repeat medication and if you are signed up for Electronic Prescribing with a chemist, once issued the prescription will go straight to the chemist so there would be no need to call into the practice to order or collect your prescriptions.

Online appointments can also be booked, at the moment we are only doing this for afternoon appointments which can be booked one week in advance, we will review this as the system is used more.

You can also view your medical records to see your current medication, immunisations and allergies.

We have also gone live with your Summary Care Records (SCR), this will enable emergency services i.e. A&E, Walk In Centres and out of hours providers being able to view your medication, allergies and adverse reactions only.  Your consent will be required from the emergency services before they can access your records.  If you do not want your SCR to be accessible then call into the practice and sign an opt out form and your SCR will be removed from the system.
