Registering with Sefton Park Medical Centre - Frequently Asked Questions

Can I register with Sefton Park Medical Centre online?

Yes. If you live within our practice area, you can complete your new patient registration online.

Which postcodes are in your practice area?

Our practice area includes L8, L15, L17 and L18. Some areas of L1, L7, L13, L16, L19 and L25 are also included. Please use the postcode checker on the registration page before registering.

Do I need my NHS number to register?

It helps if you know your NHS number, but you can still register if you do not have it. You can find your NHS number on the NHS website.

What happens after I submit my registration form?

We will process your registration and contact you if we need more information. More details about what happens now, including how to book your new patient health check, are on our 'What happens after your registration form is submitted' page.

How quickly can I be registered?

We aim to process registrations as quickly as possible, but the time it takes can vary depending on the information provided.

The best way to avoid delays is to make sure your registration form is completed in full. If important details are missing, we may need to contact you or carry out additional checks, which can slow things down.

To help us register you as quickly as possible, please include:

  • Your NHS number (if you know it)
  • Your previous address
  • Details of your previous GP practice

Providing these details allows us to verify your records more efficiently, meaning you can start using our services, such as booking appointments, sooner.

Fully completed forms are usually processed more quickly than those with missing information.
